My good friends Jess + Cauchy got married in a small backyard wedding at the end of 2020. As you can imagine, they had to go through many pivots due to COVID, but they pulled it off!
Given that the ceremony was so small, I loved the personal touches they wove in throughout the day - from custom boba cups that Cauchy made for the proposal to paper flower arrangements sourced by a dear friend (who also helped with the audio during the ceremony!) to ensuring there were boba orders for in-person friends/helpers to (safely, at a distance) indulge in. The two of them are worship leaders, so they even led their guests through a worship song with a live performance!
Jess + Cauchy made sure to honor family through a short and simple Chinese tea ceremony, and then through speeches during the wedding ceremony. They also put a lot of thought into sharing their wedding day experience with friends and family who could only attend virtually - you may notice various microphones / cameras / tripods scattered strategically throughout the ceremony space, and I can confidently say this was one of the more complicated Zoom set-ups I’ve ever been a part of ;)
Jess + Cauchy, congratulations again!! Excited to continue to walk through life with you two :)
