When Henry and Aimee got together a few years ago, Henry learned that Aimee loved The Bachelor - so much that it became a bit of a running joke between them. So when Henry was cooking up plans on how to surprise Aimee with a proposal, it was natural that he decided to set up a series of Bachelor-themed dates leading up to their anniversary weekend.
Henry was one of the most prepared grooms-to-be I’ve seen - he did several walkthroughs of the proposal site beforehand and even sent me diagrammed Google map screenshots of where he thought the best spot would be for a view of the Golden Gate Bridge (and he was right!). But one of my favorite parts of the day might’ve been the alibi that Henry told Aimee for why they had to walk uphill in the middle of the afternoon - “You have to pay to park down here, so I found a free spot up the hill.” And it worked like a charm :)
Aimee had no idea about any of this until she saw me creepily taking photos of them at the top of the hill. And the surprises kept coming - Henry managed to magically produce photos of their past dates, a single rose stem, some rose petals that he scattered around the proposal area, and of course.. the ring! If there’s one takeaway from this, it’s that men’s jackets sure have a lot of pockets :)
After the actual proposal, we got to chat and take some bonus photos with the gorgeous view that Henry picked out. The two of them were giddy off their engagement high and I think it shows in the photos!!
Aimee and Henry, I am so excited for the two of you to get married! Even in the short time we spent together, I could tell that you two genuinely delighted in each other - whether in making the other person laugh or giving sweet encouragements to each other throughout the day. I am truly honored to have been a part of this sweet milestone and wish you two all the best!
